Shelter in the past
In
the past there were many different types of houses compared to now. Back then
they made houses out of sticks, hay, wood and even tents and they were called
huts. People used whatever natural material was available.
The huts were very small, they were about the same size as a tent. It would
feel uncomfortable in a hut. It would have been cold in winter and hot in
summer.
If I was in a hut I would hate it.
Huts are sometimes made out of bricks as well. Huts would struggle in a thunder
storm and lighting.
They used the end of a tree for a hut and they used the leaves for little
spots that they missed in the roof. Huts were for protection because the people
would have died because of the cold and the heat.
Today we have the choice of many types of manufactured materials.
